What this site is

drowningdot is a one-person web design studio in Tokyo, and this site exists to show the work and start conversations. Nothing on it is professional, legal or financial advice, and a project description here is not an offer that binds either of us.

Whose work is whose

The design, text and code of this site are © drowningdot. The client sites shown are their owners' — names, brands and screenshots appear with permission, and appearing here transfers no rights in them.

The typefaces are licensed for use on this site; the font files are not free assets to lift. You are welcome to link to any page. Please do not republish substantial parts of the site as your own.

The contact form

The form is for genuine enquiries. Do not use it to send anything unlawful, and do not script it. There is a rate limit and a honeypot; the bots this paragraph is aimed at are not reading it.

Client work

An actual engagement is governed by the proposal and agreement we sign, not by this page. Where the two differ, the agreement wins.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. I keep it accurate, but I do not promise it is complete, current or uninterrupted, and I am not liable for decisions made on the strength of a portfolio page. Links to other sites are for reference, not endorsement.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Anything that ever needed a court would go to the courts of Tokyo.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page changes with it, with a new date at the top.
